Hello
My name is Rebecca and I am the owner of Savage Sweets.
My journey began in 2011 when I attended Johnson and Wales University to become a pastry chef. There I discovered my passion and love for customized cakes, pastries and fondant designs. I have honed my skills over the past 9 years working in restaurants, bakeries, and now on my own. With the support of my family and friends, in 2023, I decided to make my dreams come true and opened my own business.
I competed on The Big Bake on Food Network Canada, and I won Netflix's Sugar Rush Extra Sweet S1 E4 Cake by the Ocean.
My experience competing on Netflix’s Sugar Rush was nothing short of amazing. The fast-paced environment and constant countdown on the clock kept my adrenaline going and nerves steady. I remember hoping to at least make it past the first round. When I got to the final round I felt at ease. Cakes are my wheelhouse, and I knew no one could touch me. The nerves began to disappear, and I began to have fun with it. It felt like another day at work. Winning the competition was surreal and it is something I will cherish forever.
